This photograph was taken on the so-called Rohrerbrücke (“Rohrer” bridge) at Warht-Weiningen, near Frauenfeld. The river here is heavily straightened in places, but attempts have been made in recent years to renaturalize some sections. The Allmend, a large area on the right bank, is partly left in its natural state with protected areas for beavers and other wildlife. The area is partly used by the adjacent barracks for exercises. Technical note: An analog medium format camera and negative film were used.
